Project L
Project L is a fast-paced, tile-matching brain burner with triple-layer 3D puzzles and lovely acrylic pieces. Challenge your friends to a game of simple design but intricate gameplay that makes a lasting impression! Can you outsmart your opponents?
Gameplay
The core of the game lies in using your pieces to complete puzzles. Starting with just two basic pieces, you use three actions every turn to develop a powerful engine. With more pieces of various types, you can efficiently complete even the most difficult puzzles. The puzzles you complete award you points or new pieces to further fuel your engine.
When it’s your turn, you can perform three actions out of five possible options. Except for the master action you can perform actions multiple times. You can:
- get a level 1 piece
- upgrade a level 1 piece to a level 2 or a level 2 to a level 3 and so on
- choose a puzzle from the offer
- put a piece onto a puzzle
- use a master action (put a piece onto each puzzle in front of you)
Summarised
Project L is in many aspects a great game. It’s very easy to teach, it plays quick and turns have a nice rhythm to them. The game rewards players all the time, it’s fun to fill in the puzzles with pieces. Completing puzzles gives you all your pieces back and a new piece, which you immediately can use again. This is an engine builder in it’s purest form and the limit of three out of five actions creates interesting choices.
