Life of the Amazonia
Life of the Amazonia is a strategic meeple placing game that combines bag building and pattern building. Players will restore land, place various animals, and plant trees and flowers to enrich their jungles and create the most ecologically rich jungle. Various living beings must be placed in the jungle taking into account each unique characteristic of the plants and animals in order to create synergies within one another.
Gameplay
To carry out these actions, bag building that fits in with the player’s strategy is crucial. In your turn you’ll have a certain amount of different tokens available to do different actions. There are eight possible actions you can take:
- Purchase Resource Token
- Area Restoration
- Place an Animal
- Place a Tree
- Place an Aquatic Flower
- Obtain a Nature Card
- Expand your Storage
- Purchase a Bonus card
At the end of your turn you are allowed to keep some of your tokens and then you draw 5 new ones for your next turn. Your opponents will thus always be able to see what your options are for your next turn. So you will be adding stronger tokens to your bag, expand your jungle, purchase animals and try to place them in a way they score you the most point and try to get some leverage through bonus cards and the development of three different tracks.

Life of the Amazonia touches a lot of wat Cascadia is doing, but with a bit more depth. In this game the players get a somewhat more unique habitat because players can choose to chase different animals. There are also many scoring objectives for each type of animal. The spatial puzzle is interesting and rewarding because you can plan out the perfect spot to place your animals. Overall this is an enjoyable and gorgeous game. With 60,000+ various ways to set up the animal cards and diverse strategic options, every game will differ from the next.
